Linda Kozlowski

As Managing Partner, Linda Kozlowski’s experience includes 40 plus years of successful executive search and consulting with a concentration on hiring top leaders for business and not for profit clients. Her long-standing professional experience gives her unique insights into her clients’ very specific needs. She has worked for public and private entities as well as business and not-for-profit concerns, giving her a well-educated perspective on the needs of all types of organizations. Prior to entering the search business, she spent five years in scientific research and management with Parke Davis & Co.

Additionally, Ms. Kozlowski has served on the Executive Board of Associated Oregon Industries, the Executive Committee of the Regional Board of the American Red Cross, and the Board of the Portland Chamber of Commerce. At the request of the Governor, she assisted in performing a comprehensive review of Public Official compensation to determine comparability. She is Past President of the National Association of Accountants and currently on the Board’s Executive Committee of the American Red Cross. Linda is certified by the National Association of Personnel Consultants (CPC).

Ms. Kozlowski holds degrees in chemistry and biology from the University of Colorado and advanced studies at the University of Michigan. She lives on the beautiful Oregon Coast, currently serving on Manzanita’s City Council, as President of the Emergency Volunteer Corps and as a Board Member of the CARTM, the local recycling center. Linda stays busy with a large family of 6 cats, 2 dogs, a supportive husband and 2 grown boys. She hikes, reads and takes multiple daily dog walks.

Melissa Ulum

Melissa has been with MS&S for the past 15 years, working closely with clients and our partners in every aspect of the search process. She manages external communication as well as assuring client and candidate assessments meet client-specified criteria. She works across industry and non-profit sectors to provide strategic consultation and assessment in order to identify the best possible candidate fit for clients. Prior to joining MS&S, she worked for Bayer Pharmaceuticals and in high technology executive search.

Ms. Ulum has degrees from University of Oregon in Political Science and History. She regularly volunteers in the schools and works on bond measures and campaigns to ensure the best possible leadership for public schools. She enjoys reading, skiing, gardening, political banter and keeping pace with her husband and two teenagers.

Tyler Kendall

Tyler Kendall’s search experience has spanned over the past 20 years for both local and national firms. Prior to entering the search business, he spent 12 years in accounting and finance in roles through the Chief Financial Officer level. Tyler’s professional practice brings a business partner approach to clients, using his strong technical, analytical and outreach skills to meet search and consultation needs. While he works effectively with non-profits, the bulk of his professional work is industry-based, including manufacturing, banking, engineering and service related companies.

Mr. Kendall graduated from Portland State University with a degree in Accounting. He spends his personal time volunteering and feeding the elderly and disadvantaged while actively tending to remodel projects and his extensive network of family and friends.
