Partner Profile   Linda Kozlowski joined the Portland based national search firm of Murphy, Symonds & Stowell in 1979. She became President in 1985 and founded their Executive Search practice soon after. In 1990, she became the Managing Partner. Ms. Kozlowski's experience includes 25 years of search and consulting. Prior to entering the search business, she spent five years in scientific research and management with Parke Davis & Co.   Ms. Kozlowski's professional practice includes leadership search and executive assessment for her Northwest-based clients. Most of her time is spent consulting at the senior level, with involvement beginning at client assessment and ending with the hire of a key individual. Her consultative approach to search includes initial candidate sourcing, personal interview and assessment, reference checking, and offer/acceptance.   Ms. Kozlowski's long-standing professional experience nationally gives her unique insights into her clients specific needs. She has worked both for public and private entities, giving her a well-educated perspective on the needs of both.   Ms. Kozlowski's current clients span a diverse industry base located in the Pacific Northwest. They include PNGC Power (Power distribution company), Nike, Inc., Les Schwab Corporation, Tidewater Holding Company (Transportation industry), M Financial Group (Investment services), Lennar Affordable Communities (Tax credit investments), Portland Business Alliance (Business leaders forum), Portland Development Commission (Innovative development/redevelopment commission), Multnomah County Library, The Library Foundation, Clark County (Washington state county government), Portland Art Museum, and Oregon Historical Society.   In addition, Ms. Kozlowski has served on the Executive Board of Associated Oregon Industries, the Executive Committee of the Regional Board of the American Red Cross, and the Board of the Portland Chamber of Commerce. She remains an active member of the community and has been an active leader in several executive search industry associations. Recently, she was asked by the Governor to assist in a comprehensive review of Public Official compensation to determine comparability. Recognized as an industry leader, Ms. Kozlowski speaks to national industry forums. She is certified by the National Association of Personnel Consultants (CPC).
